Hugra union parishad is one of the eleven union parishad (UP) under Tangail sadar upa Zilla of Tangail district (zilla). It is situated about 10 k.m. west to the Tangail main town. The name of this UP has been derived from the name of village Hugra. Traditionally, peoples are very friendly but resilient in nature, they are very soft to the good people but very tough to the evils.
