Union Angaria beacons every village residents to hear the last notes of the crickets residing in the trees that line the banks of a long & winding river as the twilight merges into darkness each night, making everyone feel the comfort of a home easing the knots of the day's burden and enjoying the tastes of a fulfilling meal heartily prepared for the laborers & the rest of the family members. For this very simple reason Angaria is a very nice place to live in.

It is under the Palong Upazila which is in the district of Shariatpur.s It is situated 3 kilometers south-west from the district center. Total area of the Union is 8 squred kilometers where 23,215 people (male 11,949 and female 11,266) live in. Union dwellers earn their livelihood mainly by firming, business or service holdings. Accroding to National Census 2001, Union angaria consists of 18 villages.

The agricultural products of Union Angaria help sustain a healthy life. Fresh fruits & vegetables are always available. The animals; the cattles & the poultry in the village could range freely so they could feed naturally. Fishes from the river Kirtinasha are cooked & enjoyed in a simple way unlike in the city; this & any other delicacy would cost you a lot of money. The abundances are exported to other Unions of the country.
