The name of our Municipality is Harinakundu .It is in the distric of Jhenaidah. Harinakundu (Town) consists of two mouzas. The area of the town is 19.97 sq km. The town has a population of 17533; male 51.06% and female 48.94%. Density of population per sq km is 877. Literacy rate among the town people is 39.9%. It has one dakbungalow. The people of our villege are simple and honest.They live in peace and happiness.Administration Harinakunda thana, now an upazila, was established in 1863. The upazila consists of eight union parishads, 77 mouzas and 129 villages.Weare proud that we live in such an ideal villege. .
