September 19, 2012 – The Portable Health Clinic (PHC) Project has commenced its activities at Chhaygaon, Shariatpur this morning with the goal of serving people with healthcare facilities. The program has been inaugurated by the UNO of Bhedarganj Upazila at presence of other prominent local figures and fellow villagers. The 6 days long program will last up to September 24 and will serve 1,000 people with basic health checkup and info-medicine amenities. Till writing this report, more than 80 villagers have taken up health checkup services out of which 18 have had video-conference with specialist doctors from Dhaka. By the end of the first day, the health checkup team is going to get the target of serving 150 people.
