The Telecom Advancement Foundation members visited SocialTech Lab on April 4th, 2017. Mr. Nakayama ( Director of TAF), Mr. Akibayashi, Mr. Nakagawa, Mr. Kawasaki were the visiting members from TAF.
Professor Takuzo Osugi, Osaka University talked about Social Business and the need of ICT in providing healthcare and other social services to the unreached people. Portable Health Clinic (PHC) box and its operations were also demonstrated in front of the visiting TAF members. SocialTech Lab members- Mehedi Hasan talked about Error detection, Tanvir Rahman Khan presented on visualization of remote healthcare data and Nazmul Hossain Presented on consumer behavior. Dr. Fumihiko Yokota, Kyushu University, Talked about the implementation of PHC in India and other countries.
Journalist and President of Nikkan Kogyo Shinbun, Mr. Shimazaki was present during this event. Dr. Ashir Ahmed was interviewed on PHC at end of this event.
SocialTech Lab received the Telecom Advancement Foundation award worth of 2M yen on February 24th, 2017.
